This humorous black-and-white mug design brings a twist to the classic tale of “The Three Little Pigs”.
The cartoon shows a pig standing proudly outside his house, which is up for sale. A professional surveyor, briefcase in hand, is giving his expert opinion: “It may appear sound, Mr Pig, but in my opinion, a huff or a puff could soon bring the place down.”
I drew this cartoon thinking of how a building surveyor might react to assessing the house building skills of one of the Three Little Pigs from the famous children's story.
It has become one of my best selling cartoons when it comes to selling greetings cards and gift items to that particular professional niche.
The joke, of course, plays on the famous line from the children’s story where the Big Bad Wolf huffs and puffs to blow the houses down – this time with a professional surveyor’s spin!
It’s a light-hearted gift idea for surveyors, estate agents, builders, architects, or anyone who appreciates classic humour with a clever twist.
Printed on a high-quality ceramic mug, the design features crisp black-and-white linework. Whether used for coffee at the office or tea at home, it’s sure to raise a smile with every sip.
Ideal for birthdays, office gifts, or simply as a talking point on a surveyor’s desk, this witty cartoon mug combines professional humour with a touch of childhood nostalgia – proof that great design and clever wordplay never go out of style.
