When I first drew my “Freak Golf Shot Rebounds” cartoon, I never imagined how many people would see themselves in it – especially golfers who’ve had one of those unforgettable shots that seems to hit everything except the fairway.
This version of the design has been printed on a comfortable women’s T-shirt, and I think it works beautifully. The layout really flatters the fit, while keeping the humour front and centre.
The cartoon shows a golfer taking a truly disastrous shot that ricochets in all directions before somehow finding its way to the green.
It’s one of those moments that every golfer can relate to – that mix of horror and laughter when your ball seems to have a mind of its own! I had fun sketching it out, trying to capture the chaos and the reactions of everyone watching.
