Husband in Shock at Wife's Spending Spree...
My wife like to break records. She got in from shopping yesterday and said, "What was my record spending spree before today, darling?"
That's the gag I thought up, and I wanted to translate it into a cartoon. I don't usually analyse my cartoons very deeply, but I think this works, having the man sitting casually in his armchair, relaxing with the newspaper, reacting with shock shock on hearing his wife using a phrase like "record spending spree" as she walks in laden with shopping. Perhaps he's worried about the next credit card statement...

Pet Supplies Store Customer...
Customer at the Pet Supplies store...
I drew this cartoon of a dog carrying a basket in its mouth, at the counter of a Pet Shop, some years ago. I can't actually remember the exact reason why, but while looking through my illustration archives, I thought it would be suitable for adding to some of the items that I sell through my Zazzle store.
In this example shown, I have created a mug that a Pet Store could use as a promotional product, or for the shop workers to enjoy themselves. No minimum quantity to buy, which is good!

Shopper with a Full Trolley on a Supermarket Car Park
One of my cartoons, which was printed in The Daily Star newspaper,which shows a woman struggling with a full shopping trolley in the car park of a supermarket called “Superbuys.”
Overhead, an announcement declares that everything in the store will be drastically reduced in five minutes.
The humour comes from the timing: she has already filled her trolley, so she’s missed out on the bargain sale entirely. It’s a playful exaggeration of the frustration and irony shoppers often experience in crowded sales.
The gag works because it combines a familiar shopping scenario with a classic twist of bad timing.
Readers immediately recognise the irony of working hard to stock up only to discover that the discounts start moments too late.
The cartoon captures that blend of effort, anticipation, and disappointment in a single image, turning an everyday experience into a humorous, relatable moment.
