I drew this cruise ship cartoon left-handed as an experiment. (I'm right-handed.)
The reason I did this was because of a weekly cartoon caption competition that was being run by the CCGB (Cartoonists Club of Great Britain) on their forum. That week, contributors were challenged to draw their entry using the opposite hand to the one they normally use.
The caption was set, and cartoonists had to come up with a suitable gag idea to fit. I didn’t win that week, but I really enjoyed the test – and I quite like the way my drawing turned out!

Pictured above is the cartoon I drew left-handed. Drawing with my other hand didn’t come easily, but the “loose” effect of the linework is a style that I really like.
